No Will-Serve Letter Policy
Effective and Adopted: December 18, 2024
Current Status: Non-issuance of Will-Serve Letters
“Non-issuance of will-serve letters” means that Chemeketa Park Mutual Water Company (CPWMC) currently cannot provide a “will-serve letter”, because CPWMC currently is at full capacity (reached its maximum services capacity) and cannot take on any new projects at this time: essentially, CPMWC is “over capacity” due to infrastructure constraints and high demand.
Therefore, CPMWC will not be issuing any Will-Serve letters to any Chemeketa Park resident for new projects. There is no set timeline for when capacity might open up.
Defintion of What is a Will-Serve Letter?
The Will-Serve Letter identifies that the new project is within Chemeketa Park Mutual Water Company (CPMWC) boundaries. The Will-Serve Letter serves as notice that the CPMWC will serve water to the new project site or the residential project that either a) involve the installation of fire suppression systems, or b) involve new additional structures, subterranean building footprint, or changes in building footprints that could conflict with an existing water supply.
The availability of water services is subject to the water supply to CPMWC continuing to honor their current contractual obligations relative to the amount of water to be supplied to the Chemeketa Park residents and their current connections. CPMWC can make no representation as to the future intention of said water supply in this regard.
